Accommodation at ANU

Living on campus at ANU

Living in a catered or self-catered student residence on campus is your chance to be at the heart of ANU and to thrive among your peers and in your studies.

Our residential community is diverse, made up of students of all backgrounds, personalities, orientations and interests – and they’ll all be looking for friends like you!

On campus you’ll also be within easy reach of your classes, libraries, gyms, cafes and live music plus everything that Canberra has to offer.

How to apply for student accommodation

Your ANU application not only covers campus accommodation, it guarantees it!

When you apply to study with us, the application form will ask if you’d like to live on campus and if you would, in which residence. We’ll do our best to give you your first preference.

When will I know if I've got a room on campus?

On 10 August, we’ll let you know via email whether you have been given an offer to study at ANU and, if you have, this will also include an offer of accommodation.

If you have decided to live on campus, you’ll need to accept your accommodation offer and pay a deposit by 7 September 2020.

How do I accept my accommodation offer?

You can accept your offer of accommodation at the same time as your offer to study at ANU. They are both part of your direct application.

Simply accept these by logging into your direct application by 7 September 2020. This is also the deadline to pay your accommodation deposit.
